Michael’s mom wanted
kindergarten to start right. She took
him to meet his classmates before school started. Eyad’s was the first and last house they
visited. He ended up on the front steps
crying. Two years later he broke Eyad’s
Batman (the cool toy that flew down a wire).
Four years later they were almost beaten to a pulp in a parking
lot. They stood by each other and realized
their friendship was unique. Michael is
family and has much to do with who Eyad has become (and aspires to be).
He and Emily met in January, 2004. They’d heard a lot about each other (and
talked on the phone since Eyad just hands it to Emily at times). Eyad wasn’t surprised that two people he
loves so much got along so well.
Michael has a degree in Spanish Literature. He
also has a Masters in Education. GO MIKE!
He has lived in Philly and near D.C. and is (of all things) a school
teacher. He dreads having students just
like us :P Actually, he LOVES his
work. This was noted by not only his
students, but Scientific Learning who selected him as the Philadelphia
Outstanding Teacher of the Year. Eyad is very proud of his best friend.
